AMERITECH CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION - FALLS CHURCH, VA

We contracted with Ameritech to build a sunroom in March at which time they took a deposit. The actual building took place in July 2011. We were told by Ron Swindoll, Ameritech's installation coordinator, that once the men start on the room, they would dedicate their time solely to our job until it was completed. One day after the start of the project, he pulled his men off the job to go to another. They opened up part of the roof to enjoin porch to house and then pulled his men off the job and sent them elsewhere before the roof was closed. We had a huge rainstorm and water poured into the structure The Building Inspector for Warren County VA failed the support structure for the sunroom and left a list of things to be changed. Mr. Swindoll decided he knew better than the Building Inspector and instructed his men to do it his way. Even the plans drawn up by Ameritech weren't followed. The Inspector came out again and failed it again. We are now at an impass waiting for something to be done since signing on in March of this year. Our window frames are crooked. We have no passed inspection and everytime we spoke with Mr. Swindoll, he was rude and wasn't telling us the truth about the schedule of the work to be done. He didn't keep in touch. We had total lack of communication. I hesitate to even give a one-star rating. We were told this would be a five-star experience. It was a nightmare that isn't over yet.
